officer Annika Smith

Annika Smith

COR Coordinator

Hey! My name is Annika and I am in my third year of Secondary Education with a major in History and minor in English. I am obsessed with memes, food and sisterhood. I joined Alpha Gam in Winter of 2016 and it was the best decision of my university career. This beautifully diverse group of women have taught me so much and given me more joy than I could ever imagine. Whether it is about geeking out over Harry Potter, eating 5 XL pizzas or talking about the meaning of life; these loving girls are there. My sisters are my heart.

officer Avishta Seeras

Avishta Seeras

Risk Management Coordinator

Hello, my name is Avishta. I am a third year student at the University of Alberta and my field of study is Spanish and Latin American Studies. I joined Alpha Gam in January 2016 and I am now the Risk Management Coordinator. I have a Bachelor's degree in Human Ecology. I enjoy volunteering with a non-profit international organisation called AIESEC where I am responsible for recruiting students to go abroad on volunteer and professional internships. I also enjoy learning languages, exploring new cultures, dancing Salsa, trying ethnic food, watching TED talk videos and keeping up with world news and politics. I joined Alpha Gam as a Legacy. My sister was also a member of Alpha Gamma Delta for 5 years. I wanted to be a part of an organisation that empowers young women to be strong leaders of today. I feel more connected with my sister through this special bond of sisterhood which I also share with many more wonderful sisters.

officer Bailey Larsen

Bailey Larsen

Hi, I’m Bailey! I am a fourth year English major with a minor in Comparative Literature. When I’m not assisting the Panhellenic and Greek communities, you can visit me at the Centre for Writers on campus for writing help or at Famoso to be served some delicious pizza! Some of my interests include makeup, Hotline Bling Drake, Sudoku puzzles, and erasable pens. I can be seen frequently at the various Burrito Libre locations around campus. Greek life has been a huge part of my university experience since I joined in September of my first year. I credit Alpha Gam for my growth as an individual and my development of self-confidence. I love to get involved in the Greek community and on campus and am very ambitious in my endeavours.

officer Becca Fung

Becca Fung

Social Coordinator

Hey, my name is Becca! I joined Alpha Gam in 2016. I'm a Criminology student hoping to continue onto Law. I love playing sports, notably basketball, soccer, softball and cheer. I also enjoy snowboarding when the weather isn't too crazy. Other than sports, I love to play League of Legends! I joined Alpha Gam because I've always struggled to make long lasting friendship as I've always moved around. I was born in Edmonton, moved to Burnaby and now i'm back here. I'm very glad I made the decision to put myself out there. If I didn't, I wouldn't have met all these amazing girls that I'm lucky to call my sisters.

officer Brooke Lorraine

Brooke Lorraine

Correspondance Coordinator

Hey! My name is Brooke and I am in my second year majoring in Sociology & minoring in English, with the hopes of eventually going to law school. I was born and raised in Calgary but for as long as I can remember I knew that I wanted to move to Edmonton and attend university here at the U of A. I love reading, animals, country music, sports & have an obsession with all things hockey, especially the Edmonton Oilers. I decided to join a sorority after struggling to meet new people on campus during my first year & becoming an Alpha Gam has made such a difference in my life. I have met so many beautiful women who inspire & support me on a daily basis. I never imagined that I would meet this many genuine women so early in my life and I'm very fortunate to call them my friends & my sisters.

officer Caelie Logan

Caelie Logan

Hey, I'm Caelie! I'm in my third year of Animal Health for agricultural animals. I joined Alpha Gamma Delta in my first year as a way to connect with a support system, as I was away from home and family for the first time, and in my time here I've gotten that and so much more! I've learned many communications and event planning skills through my positions as Ritual Coordinator and Alumnae Relations Coordinator within chapter, I've also met so many encouraging women to help me along my path in life. The women of Alpha Gamma Delta have become my family, and the organisation has become my home.

officer Carly Minero

Carly Minero

Social Media Coordinator

Hey, I’m Carly! I’m a first year Sociology major and English minor. One of my passions is poetry. I love to write, read, and perform poems, and I actually have 2 poems published! There are many things significant in my life that I hold so close to my heart, like my family, my sisters, my cat (who I miss very much), and my home city, Vancouver. I moved to Edmonton in August 2016 and it was a very big step for me. Moving away from my family and coming to a completely new city was super difficult. That is where Alpha Gam comes in! Thanks to my amazing sisters I have found my second home, or as some would say, my home away from home. Alpha Gam has taught me to embrace my passions and interests and to continue striving for the best. I am more than proud to be a part of an incredible sisterhood! One of my favourite things about Alpha Gam is the pure, undeniable, and endless support that you get from your sisters. I feel so lucky to have it. I also love my Big - Kristen to bits, we are basically the same person.

officer Cassandra Morigeau

Cassandra Morigeau

Hey! My name is Cassy and I am in my first year of nursing. In high school, I always loved classes like biology and sports medicine so it was no surprise when I decided to become a nurse instead of a graphic designer. When I’m not busy with school, you can find me reading, drawing, swimming laps, or curled up on the couch watching a good horror movie with my friends. I am very proud of my Métis heritage and like to volunteer for round dances and other parts of the Métis community. Laughing is also something I love to do; I can’t help but laugh at a pun, no matter how bad it is. When I came to the university, very few friends came with me and suddenly I was just one of 38 000 students. During my first semester, I met some of the amazing women from Alpha Gamma Delta and knew that this was the place for me. With such a diverse group of women, it was very easy to find people with similar interests to me and I quickly realized why many of my sisters called Alpha Gam their home; whether I need help with a class or a friend to talk to, I know my sisters have my back! And of course, I have theirs as well!

officer Claire Kulchitsky

Claire Kulchitsky

Hello! My name is Claire and I’m a third year Elementary Education student! I love tea, romantic comedies, and giant sunglasses. My favourite things include rainy days, coffee dates with sisters, and study breaks on my couch with a comfy blanket and Netflix. On campus, you can find me studying in Rutherford or standing in the never-ending abyss which is the Tim Horton’s line-up; but for six months this winter, I’ll be studying abroad in England! The number one reason I love Alpha Gamma Delta so much is for the amazing sisterhood. Whether you need someone to laugh with, a shoulder to cry on, or someone to make a group pizza with, sisters will always be there for you! The love and support of the women of Alpha Gamma Delta has been one of my biggest supports in university and I can honestly say that I can not imagine going through these four years without them.

officer Danielle Burrill

Danielle Burrill

Gamma Coordinator

Hey, I’m Danielle! I initiated into Alpha Gam in the fall of 2015, I am a second year Psychology major within the Faculty of Arts. I think the coolest thing about me is that I’m a total nerd; if you want someone to talk Doctor Who, Sherlock, or many other shows with, I’m your gal! My favourite part of Alpha Gam is this crazy cool bunch of girls I get to call my sisters. These are some of the most supportive and caring girls you’ll ever meet and they’re a big part of how I survived my first year.

officer Emily Redford

Emily Redford

Hey, I'm Emily! I am in Nursing and am extremely passionate about biology, health and dogs (I have memorized the schedule for dogs on campus)! I love taking photos and I went to Victoria school of the Arts for seven years and enjoy all kinds of art. I love all things fuzzy and am the proud owner of two chinchillas and a Labradoodle named Luke whom I have trained to do a bunch of fun tricks! I love to skate and ski and I generally prefer winter due to the fact I don't have to wear sunscreen.

officer Jamie Foisy

Jamie Foisy

Membership Coordinator

Hi! My name is Jamie. I am a second year dental hygiene student. A few of my favourite things are camping, boating, dogs, and spending time with my family, but of course that includes all of my sisters! I joined Alpha Gam in 2013 while attending the University of Calgary. I was lucky enough to reinstall here at the University of Alberta when I transferred schools. Being from a small town in BC, I didn’t know anyone when I went away to school; Alpha Gam has given me a home away from home. The love and support I receive from my sisters never wavers. They are more than just my sisters, they are my best friends. There’s a reason that we say “Alpha Gamma Delta is more than just four years, it’s for life”. My favourite Alpha Gam moments were meeting my Big and my Little.

officer Jamie Oliva

Jamie Oliva

Hi, my name is Jamie! I am a third year Elementary Education student. Some things that I love are shopping, makeup, and art! In my spare time I like to go to concerts, restaurants, and go travelling. I am so happy I found my home at campus because I have met the most diverse group of women that are so down to earth and awesome to hang out with!

officer Janaé Logan

Janaé Logan

Hey, my name is Janaé! I am a first year nursing student but it is my second year at the U of A. I grew up in the northern rural hamlet of Wabasca (a very small community, in fact my grad class was 15 students!). Growing up in a town where you know almost everyone and then moving to a big city, came with its difficulties. I had trouble I had trouble introducing myself into new friendships. So, I decided to join a sorority in my second year. I initiated into Alpha Gamma Delta in the Fall of 2016. It was a great decision. I have made many new friends and found myself feeling less homesick. These women are amazing, caring girls that are always there when you need them.

officer Janell Uden

Janell Uden

You may recognize me off the TV show "This is High School", or from my swimming career! I joined Alpha Gamma Delta because I believe that women need to stand strong together and I have never had a sister before and now I have too many to keep track of.

officer Jessie Nicholls

Jessie Nicholls

Hey, I'm Jessie! I am in my first year of a general science degree. I am planning on majoring in biology and minoring in psychology. In my spare time I love to run and travel. Hi, my name is Kaylie. I am a second year student majoring in Stage Management. I have a passion for all things artistic but my heart belongs to theatre, specifically the technical aspects. To me, working behind the scenes is like doing magic. During the school year, you are most likely to find me in FAB or in the office supplies aisle in Staples. Some of my hobbies include singing in the rain (but in the shower mostly), debating Star Wars conspiracy theories or obsessing over Lin Manuel Miranda.

officer Kennidi Jewell

Kennidi Jewell

Hey! My name is Kennidi and I am in my second year of Elementary Education. A fun fact about me is that I have been skydiving! Coming from a small town and an even smaller high school, the move to Edmonton to attend the U of A has been a huge transition for me. But because of Alpha Gam, I get to experience a whole new group of people and the campus does not seem as big anymore. These girls have really helped me become more accustomed to university life and I am so glad to have the support that comes with being in this community.

officer Kristina Pappas

Kristina Pappas

Hi, my name is Kristina, and I am a Comparative Literature major with a minor in Creative Writing. My top three joys in life are dogs, books, and traveling! I love being a part of Alpha Gamma Delta because of how rewarding it is. Knowing you have sisters and people that care about you in your corner makes a huge difference in your life and throughout university. Alpha Gam makes me feel like I belong and makes my university experience that much brighter. The best choice I made all year was joining Alpha Gamma Delta. I must say it’s so nice to meet women who share my passions and expose me to different joys from my own. I am so proud of my sisters and my fraternity; I feel so lucky to be a part of it all!

officer Kylie Day

Kylie Day

Alpha Coordinator

Hi! My name is Kylie, I am in my first year of Human Ecology where I am majoring in Clothing, Textiles, and Material Culture. The iconic blue dress in the 2015 version of Cinderella chased away any last doubts I had about wanting to have a career in costuming. I love fashion, and will occasionally try my hand at sewing. My obsessions include Broadway musicals, museums, and anything related to Disney. Joining Alpha Gam was an easy decision for me because of its focus on sisterhood, academics, and community betterment. I consider myself to be beyond lucky to be able to call such inspiring and loving women my sisters, and I know that I will grow as a person in their presence. I also plan to name my future cat Poe in honour of Edgar Allan Poe, but also because of Poe Dameron.

Hi, I'm Olivia! I'm born and raised in Edmonton, although I would love to move to Arizona. I'm a first year at the University of Alberta, in Secondary Education with a major in Social Studies and a minor in Native Studies. I did a semester at MacEwan's Bachelor of Commerce program before taking the following semester off and then transferring to the U of A. I have a passion for travelling and love playing soccer, skiing, hiking, swimming, going to the Citadel theatre, reading, finding new restaurants and coffee shops, attempting to paint, as well as spending time with my family which includes my wonderful Alpha Gam sisters. I joined Alpha Gam during Fall 2016 recruitment and is hands down the best decision I've made so far in University. Alpha Gam is home, and you always know there is someone there to help you in times of need. Whether it's during classes, grabbing food and coffee, or study dates, you know you're constantly making incredible friendships and memories that will last for the rest of your life. I've never felt so much emotion for so many people so fast, these ladies are truly incredible and I'm so lucky to call them my sisters.

officer Olivia Redmond

Olivia Redmond

Hey, I'm Olivia! I'm in my second year majoring in the History of Art and Visual Culture and minoring in English. Obviously you'll catch me hanging at art museums and shows, but in my free time I can be also be found in dog parks and cafes around the city. Even though I consider myself quite independent, I don't know how I would accomplish anything without my sisters in Alpha Gamma Delta.

officer Paige Fox

Paige Fox

Hi, I’m Paige! I'm in my second year of nursing. A fun fact about me is that my favourite movie is Legally Blonde, which was coincidentally written by an Alpha Gam! I joined Alpha Gamma Delta in the fall of 2015, not knowing that it would become such a positive experience in my life! Joining Alpha Gam has brought so many meaningful friendships into my life, and I am constantly inspired by my sisters. Their positivity and encouragement keep me going even on the worst of days!

officer Rachel Papulkas

Rachel Papulkas

Hi, I'm Rachel! I'm currently in my first year studying Psychology and Creative Writing. Growing up I've always had a love for writing and acting, as well as the idea of making a difference in people's lives, so it was no surprise when I decided to dedicate my time to doing those exact things once I entered university. I hope to one day publish a book, and see myself on the big screen. Also, if you're ever in need of a good book recommendation, I'm the one to ask! Joining Alpha Gamma Delta has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. University can be intimidating, and discovering a huge support system early on has been so wonderful. I've already met so many incredible friends and created lifelong bonds with my sisters. It has become a new home away from home, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes me next!
